Hardwood Shutters

Wood shutter, also known as plantation shutter, are one of the most popular window treatments for today's modern or traditional house. Not only do they add a sophisticated, upscale look to your home's interior decor, they increase your home's value for years to come.

Basswood interior wood shutters are very hard, straight and durable, and have a fine uniform texture with an indistinct grain. Basswood machines well and is easy to work, and screws and glues well and can be sanded and stained to a smooth finish. It dries fairly rapidly with little distortion. Because of this, all of our wood shutters have fantastic dimensional stability when dry.
